Journal December 5th, 2016

This is it. This is when I share what I am made of. Had a very great day today from being off of my 9-5, but when I saw something online today, it crushed me. I will get to that in a bit. Today I started my day the way I always start my day on my day off from work. I woke up, ate breakfast after watching some GMA and Live with Kelly. I then listen to my favorite pop station 102.7 KIIS FM and enjoyed On Air with Ryan Seacrest. I then waited passiontly while watching CNN and discovered that a warehouse that held EDM parties got burnt to the ground. I pray to God that all the families will be okay. Sad when you come out to have a great time and something sad happens. Luckily from dying and coming back to life May of 2012 I know there is paradise at the end of the tunnel. I made a song and named the album the same name. The track title album is called Heaven. Heaven is an instruemental to get people to feel what I felt when I passed away and discovered proof of Heaven. I know things will turn out great in the end no matter how bad things get.

Speaking of bad things happening. I got my sales reports from Spinnup Records. Spinnup Records is a recording label that gives you the opportunity to become an artist or band on one of UMG's labels. Sad to say my sales report was less then a dollar and only 40 streams total on Spotify. Don't know the correct method to getting people to know me and my music. I read websites, did what they said, and still ended up with no one knowing who I am. I've been an indie artist for 5 years and can't figure out the formula to getting new fans. I started playing the guitar ever since I was 5 years old. My grandpa who died a few months later gave it to me. I wanted to make him proud so I continued to do music. It hurts me I amounted to nothing in the music business. I hope my grandpa is proud of me in Heaven. I gave it what I can and hope that it was the thought that matters even though I have nothing to show for it. I'm going to need to take a break from the playlist and new songs to reavaluate my life and try to figure out things for myself spiritually. I'm never going to quit what I love, but need the break to focus on me and enjoy the life that I have. Maybe live my life instead of being in front of a laptop or phone for hours thinking of the 100s of playlist and 100s of songs I've done. Famouse artist always say you need a balance. My balance has been 80% music and 20% living. Time to live and enjoy myself. I hope though that any other artist that had the same struggle or is feeling it now will know that God and Jesus is good and if you gave it your all you have nothing to feel bad about. I told Scotty McCreary before he auditioned on American Idol that "it's better to try and fail then to not do it at all". I stay by my own advice. I feel happy for what I've done. Me and Scotty both lived in Garner, NC and he used to be a regurlar at the restuarant I used to work at. He also knew my family from church.

I celebrated my sister's birthday today. Even though her birthday was this past Saturday; we were able to meet today. I gave her a Minions stocking cap. She liked it. Happy to have hanged out with my two nephews, three sisters, mom and dad. Technically my step mom but she is a mom to me. She raised me ever since I was 5 years old. Hanging out with family is great expecially now a days when I bairly see them at all. Love my family. Love my friends. Just being a part of other peoples lives and trying my best to be there for them is a great feeling. Good to put yourself last and others first. At least that's how I am. Life is too short to not think of other people. Great to believe in others and be filled with love.
